Hampton Roads As Defined in Maps

 ampton Roads may be defined most broadly as being all of South Hampton Roads and the Virginia Peninsula, the tip of the Middle Peninsula, and the corner of northeastern North Carolina. Specifically, it includes the Southeastern Virginia cities of Chesapeake, Franklin, Hampton, Newport News, Norfolk, Poquoson, Portsmouth, Suffolk, Virginia Beach, and Williamsburg, counties of Gloucester, Isle of Wight, James City, Mathews, Surry, Southampton, and York, and town of Smithfield, in addition to North Carolina's Currituck County.
